Silver class Bali — overview

Silver class Bali — make your own piece of silver jewelry with a silversmith, no experience needed. Some souvenirs end up forgotten on a shelf. Others become part of your story. At this workshop, you won’t just buy a keepsake from Bali — you’ll make it yourself. Every line and curve will be the result of your own work, so no one else in the world will have a piece quite like it.

The workshop takes place at a family-run silversmith studio in Bali, where the craft has been passed down from generation to generation. Guided by experienced artisans, you’ll go through the full jeweler’s process: learn traditional silverworking techniques, bring your own idea to life or choose a ready-made design, and turn a piece of raw silver into finished jewelry, step by step.

No experience is needed, and the workshop is just as fun for adults as it is for kids. It’s not about a perfect result, but about enjoying the process: trying something new, connecting with Balinese tradition, and spending a few creative hours together.

You’ll leave with more than a ring, pendant, or pair of earrings — you’ll take home a memory of Bali, made with your own hands. Both of our craft workshops, silver and batik, are on the art workshop Bali page.

How It Works

Getting there
You can book a private transfer from your hotel or villa, or get there on your own. If you book a transfer, please wait for the driver at your hotel reception or at the entrance to your villa. Contact our manager via the online chat on our website for the transfer price.

The workshop
On arrival, the studio team will welcome you and introduce you to the artisans who will guide you. You’ll be offered water, tea or coffee and a Balinese cake, followed by a short briefing on the program, safety, the tools, and how to work with silver.

Next, choose what you’d like to make. Pick one of the ready-made designs, create your own, or discuss your idea with the artisan, who will help you find the best way to bring it to life. No silverworking experience is required — you’ll be guided at every step.

Most of the workshop is spent making your piece by hand. Under the artisan’s guidance, you’ll learn traditional techniques and complete the main stages yourself: melting the silver, shaping the blank, forming, cutting, soldering, sanding, polishing, and finishing.

Once your piece is done, it gets a final polish, and you can take it home right away.

During the workshop, you can make one piece of your choice: a ring, a pendant, earrings, or another item of your own design.
