The Raja Ampat archipelago is the dream of forgotten islands — a secluded paradise deep within Indonesia’s most untouched frontier. Throughout your journey, you’ll stay in an island resort surrounded by nothing but boundless crystal-clear ocean and pristine white-sand beaches. Forget about cars — you’ll travel between islands by boat.
Raja Ampat is a paradise for snorkelling and diving. Its emerald waters conceal the richest untouched underwater world on the planet, and the archipelago is rightfully ranked among the top ten dive destinations in the world.
Along the way, you’ll walk through rainforests and rocky caves, discover freshwater rivers, and encounter rare endemic birds and wildlife. You’ll have the chance to feel like Robinson Crusoe on uninhabited islands with postcard-perfect views, untouched coral reefs, and thousands of marine creatures beneath the surface.
But nature is only part of Raja Ampat’s magic. Everyday life on the archipelago has yet to be shaped by global civilisation. In the small Papuan villages, barefoot children run through the streets with wide smiles, and the warm-hearted locals gladly welcome the few travellers who arrive, sharing their traditions and way of life.

Day 1
Arrival in Raja Ampat: Waigeo Island
Upon arrival in Sorong, you'll be transferred to the port and board a ferry to Waigeo Island — the starting point of your journey through the archipelago's most striking natural landmarks. On arrival, you'll register at the National Park entrance, followed by lunch and check-in at a coastal hotel. The rest of the day is yours to unwind after the flight. Dinner is served at the hotel in the evening.
Day 2
Birds of Paradise & the Blue River
An early morning departure into the forest to observe birds of paradise — a chance to witness the unique courtship dance of these rare birds in their natural habitat. This is one of the region's signature nature experiences.
After returning to the hotel and breakfast, you'll have free time to rest.
In the afternoon, the program continues with a trip to the Blue River (Kali Biru) and a walk through the tropical forest. You'll head deep into the jungle, where a river of astonishingly clear, deep azure water lies hidden among dense greenery. It's the perfect spot to relax in the shade of the tropical canopy and swim in cool freshwater. Return to the hotel by sunset.
Day 3
Transfer to Fam Islands: the heart of the archipelago
After breakfast and check-out, you'll board a boat and travel deeper into the Raja Ampat archipelago. The route passes the famous karst islands — hundreds of limestone cliffs blanketed in dense tropical greenery, rising directly from the turquoise water. Snorkelling stops in scenic lagoons are planned along the way.
Your destination is the Fam Islands — one of the most beautiful and photogenic parts of the region. On arrival, you'll check into a beachfront resort.
Dinner and rest on the coast.
Day 4
Free day on the Fam Islands
A full free day at your own pace. Spend it on the white-sand beach or explore the underwater world without leaving the resort.
What you can do:
- House reef snorkelling — discover rich marine flora and fauna right off the shore;
- Swimming and relaxation — enjoy the silence and the archipelago's turquoise waters;
- Diving (optional) — for those who want to explore more distant sites (paid separately).
Evening on the coast, dinner at the hotel.
Day 5
Day trip to Batanta Island
This is the most "wild" day of the itinerary — minimal infrastructure, maximum contact with nature. The program is dedicated to exploring the untouched wilderness of Batanta Island.
Today's program:
- Snorkelling in coastal waters;
- A walk through the tropical jungle;
- A traditional boat ride along the river;
- Visit to a waterfall.
After the program, return to the resort on the Fam Islands.
Day 6
Return to Sorong & rest
After breakfast at the resort, you'll say goodbye to the Fam Islands and begin your journey back by boat. On arrival in Sorong, a transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is dedicated to free time and rest.
Please pack in advance for a smooth departure the following day.
Day 7
End of the program & transfer
After breakfast at the hotel, your stay in Sorong comes to an end. A transfer to the airport will be arranged in time for your scheduled flight.
