After that, explore the island’s rich heritage at the Kerta Gosa Museum, where you can immerse yourself in Balinese epics. We will then visit three unique artisan villages, where you will see the process of creating wooden carvings, gold and silver works. Special attention is given to fabric painting using the batik technique, which is an integral part of local creativity.

Important information

  • A 25% deposit is required when booking, with the remaining balance to be paid in cash on site.
  • Alternatively, you can choose to pay the full amount in advance using any of the available online payment methods.
  • The tour is conducted by a local guide who has a basic knowledge of foreign languages, sufficient to answer your questions about local culture. Please treat this with understanding.
  • The ceremony at Pura Besakih Temple is conducted by the local priest Manku. If you would like the ceremony to be performed by the renowned Balinese Manku Jati, you will need to inform the manager of your request in advance.
  • Wearing a sarong within the temple grounds is mandatory.
  • Child ticket from 3 to 11 years old; children from 0 to 2 years old are free
  • The average duration of the tour is 8–10 hours depending on the traffic schedule
  • Visiting temples during menstruation is not recommended, and in some cases prohibited for women
  • Limit on the number of seats: The vehicle can accommodate up to 4 adult passengers. If the number of people exceeds 4, we provide either two cars or one bus for comfortable seating. In this case, the trip cost will be calculated individually by the manager when placing the order.
  • Seats for children: Children also occupy a separate seat in the vehicle, except for those carried on your lap (ages 0–4).

Morning Transfer

8:00 – 9:00 – at the agreed meeting time, a driver-guide will arrive at your hotel/villa. Please wait for the car at the hotel reception or near your villa.

You will start the day with a visit to Besakih Temple – the main Hindu temple complex on the island. It consists of 22 separate temples rising up the slopes of Mount Agung in terraces. Here you will witness the spiritual life of the Island of Gods in all its manifestations: colorful ceremonies, offerings to the deities, meditations, and locals dressed in traditional attire.

After visiting Besakih, you will head to Kertha Gosa Museum, where you can immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of ancient Balinese traditions, admire paintings, and explore many other exhibits. The main building of the museum is the former Hall of Justice, where real court sessions were once held. Its ceiling is decorated with frescoes depicting episodes from the Hindu epic.

To complete the tour, you will explore the artisan villages. Crafts and creativity play a major role in Balinese life. Your program includes three villages specializing in woodcarving, silver and gold jewelry making, and batik – the traditional wax-resist dyeing technique. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe the creation process up close and purchase unique handmade souvenirs.

Return Transfer

17:00 – 18:00 – standard program end time, when you will already be back at your hotel or villa. The exact arrival time depends on traffic conditions and the location of your hotel.
