Discover the incredible richness of Balinese culture by visiting the island’s most important religious and cultural landmarks. Begin with the majestic Pura Besakih Temple, located at the foot of the sacred Mount Agung. This complex of 22 temple structures is a true cultural and spiritual center.
After that, explore the island’s rich heritage at the Kerta Gosa Museum, where you can immerse yourself in Balinese epics. We will then visit three unique artisan villages, where you will see the process of creating wooden carvings, gold and silver works. Special attention is given to fabric painting using the batik technique, which is an integral part of local creativity.
Don’t miss the chance to purchase gifts and souvenirs that will remind you of your unique journey through Bali.
8:00 – 9:00 – at the agreed meeting time, a driver-guide will arrive at your hotel/villa. Please wait for the car at the hotel reception or near your villa.
Locations:
You will start the day with a visit to Besakih Temple – the main Hindu temple complex on the island. It consists of 22 separate temples rising up the slopes of Mount Agung in terraces. Here you will witness the spiritual life of the Island of Gods in all its manifestations: colorful ceremonies, offerings to the deities, meditations, and locals dressed in traditional attire.

After visiting Besakih, you will head to Kertha Gosa Museum, where you can immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of ancient Balinese traditions, admire paintings, and explore many other exhibits. The main building of the museum is the former Hall of Justice, where real court sessions were once held. Its ceiling is decorated with frescoes depicting episodes from the Hindu epic.

To complete the tour, you will explore the artisan villages. Crafts and creativity play a major role in Balinese life. Your program includes three villages specializing in woodcarving, silver and gold jewelry making, and batik – the traditional wax-resist dyeing technique. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe the creation process up close and purchase unique handmade souvenirs.
17:00 – 18:00 – standard program end time, when you will already be back at your hotel or villa. The exact arrival time depends on traffic conditions and the location of your hotel.
