Manta Point is one of the most breathtaking diving spots on Nusa Penida, an island located south of Bali. In addition to unforgettable dives, visiting Manta Point also includes a short boat trip, which adds a special charm to the adventure.
The main attraction of this site is a large underwater rock known as the “Cleaning Station.” This is where manta rays gather to let small fish remove parasites from their bodies. The depth above the top of the rock is only about 5 meters, while at the base it reaches around 10 meters. Strong currents are almost absent here, making the spot suitable for divers of all levels. A gentle surf creates a sensation of being lightly rocked on a swing, offering an excellent chance to practice buoyancy control.
The mantas in this area are striking in their variety of sizes and colors. They can be light gray or jet black, often with distinctive white markings on their undersides. These graceful giants are curious by nature and often approach divers closely. Witnessing a group of five or more mantas circling around you is an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.
