Kanto Lampo Waterfall, located on the Bangunlemak River in the village of Beng, Gianyar, is one of the most accessible and popular waterfalls in the southeastern part of Bali. Unlike Gitgit, Munduk, or Tukad Cepung waterfalls, reaching Kanto Lampo doesn’t require trekking through steep trails or slippery rocks. Kanto Lampo – a waterfall born recently

Kanto Lampo Waterfall is relatively new, having formed after a landslide in 2015 that altered the course of the Bangunlemak River. Before that, the river had long been used to irrigate rice fields, and local farmers still worry about whether there will be enough water for agriculture during the dry season.

The waterfall’s name comes from the rare lampo tree, whose fruits rapidly change color from green to red. This makes them difficult to harvest, but families with children often enjoy searching for these unusual trees in the surrounding area.
