Enjoy a unique way to witness the breathtaking sunrise from Mount Batur and ride across the volcanic lava fields in a 4WD jeep.

Choose this option if you don’t want to hike up the volcano but still wish to experience one of Bali’s most spectacular sunrises.

Thanks to the four-wheel-drive jeep, you’ll reach hard-to-access spots, explore the volcanic landscapes of the Kintamani area, drive through black sands and lava hills, admire stunning island views, and greet the sunrise or sunset at a viewpoint near the foot of the volcano.

• Price per jeep: one jeep takes 1–3 guests. For 4 or more guests, book a second jeep via the manager.
• Infants aged 1–2 ride free — do not enter them in Adults; guests from 3 years are full passengers and are entered in Adults.
• Free pick-up and return from 6 hotels in Kintamani: Lake View, The Cave, Himalilla, Devanora, Pramana Zahill Kintamani, Tira Vilagna Suite. Pick-up from South Bali (Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Sanur, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Canggu, Kerobokan) — 875 000 IDR per jeep, from Ubud — 625 000 IDR per jeep; you can also meet us at the base.
• Pick-up time: South Bali 02:00–02:30 (sunrise) / 12:00–12:30 (sunset); Ubud 03:30 / 13:15. Start from the base: sunrise 5:20, sunset 16:20.
• Breakfast is included in the Sunrise program only; on the Sunset program, snacks are paid extra via the manager.
• Available for guests aged 1 to 65 years.
• Sunrise or sunset viewing takes place at a scenic viewpoint located at a low altitude near the foot of the volcano. The jeep does not drive to the volcano’s peak.
• Important: BaliSoulTrips.com is not responsible for weather conditions on the dates you have booked the tour. The weather in the Batur volcano caldera is unpredictable — fog, rain, and low visibility are possible during the ride, especially during the rainy season.
• You will head to the Kintamani area, known for its cool climate. Local residents have established numerous farms here, growing various vegetables that require fertilizers. Because of this, the area attracts a large number of flies. You may encounter them everywhere; unfortunately, there is no way to avoid them. Please be understanding and simply ignore them, as the locals do.
