Batik class Bali — overview
Batik class Bali — paint your own batik with a local artist and take it home. Balinese batik is much more than the colorful fabrics you see in shops and local markets. Every pattern is the result of painstaking handwork, and the craft has been passed down here from generation to generation. At this workshop, you’ll get to know this art up close and take your own piece from the first lines to a finished work.
Guided by a batik artist, you’ll create your own design, learn to use traditional tools and dyes, and watch color, detail, and character gradually come to life on the fabric. Even if you’ve never painted before, the process is easy to follow and enjoyable from the very start — it’s about the joy of creating, not artistic skill.
At the end, you’ll take home your own batik, handmade in Bali. Not just another island souvenir, but a piece with a few hours of creativity and your own small story behind it. Both of our craft workshops, batik and silver, are on the art workshop Bali page.

- You’ll work on a 50 × 50 cm piece of cotton fabric using 2–3 colors.
- Each participant receives a certificate at the end of the workshop.

How It Works
Getting there
You can book a private transfer from your hotel or villa, or get there on your own. If you book a transfer, please wait for the driver at your hotel reception or at the entrance to your villa. Contact our manager via the online chat on our website for the transfer price.
The workshop
The workshop begins with an introduction to traditional batik techniques, materials, and tools. The artist will show you how to use a canting, a special tool for applying hot wax to fabric. The wax lines form the outline of your design and keep the colors from mixing.
Then comes the most creative part: painting. Using brushes, you’ll fill in your design with two or three colors, blending shades to create your own pattern. Once you’ve finished, the artist will remove the wax and finish the fabric.
You’ll take home your own 50 × 50 cm batik.

Cancellation Policy

If you Cancel
- A refund is made with a 10% deduction from the payment amount if the cancellation is made by the client at least 24 hours before the start of the activity.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the start of the activity for any reason, whether due to health issues, booking errors, or other unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately, a refund or rescheduling is not possible. A 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
- If you decide to cancel the tour after it has started (due to feeling unwell or for any other reason), no refund is possible.
- Refunds are made according to the exchange rate set by the Bank of Indonesia on the day of payment.
- A full refund is provided if the service cannot be fully delivered by the provider.
- The processing time for refund requests is up to 5 days, and the refund will be issued within 10 days from the date of request.

If you Reschedule
- Rescheduling is possible once with at least 24 hours notice before the tour start time. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred date, subject to availability. If the requested date is not available and alternative dates are unsuitable, the booking will be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy.
